Coordinator Reports To: Parish Manager FLSA Status: Full-Time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Summary The Parish Life &
Operations Coordinator oversees and supports the parish’s pastoral
ministries, serving as the primary liaison among ministry leaders,
volunteers, and parishioners. This role helps align all ministries
by actively fostering our parish mission – to bring every person
into intimacy with Christ, Go Make Disciples . This role ensures
the smooth and effective operation of all parish-centered ministry
programs and events through the parish management system, Pushpay.
Responsibilities include learning and facilitating training of
staff to use Pushpay , coordinating event and facility calendars,
overseeing Safe Environment training compliance, and managing
Adoration scheduling through the We Adore Him program. In addition,
this role oversees parish-wide communications related to ministry
programs and events. Requirements 1. Event & Facility Calendar
Coordination This position oversees the scheduling and logistical
coordination of parish facilities to support all pastoral ministry
programs and events. This role maintains the master parish
calendar, coordinates facility assignments, and ensures that
equipment and technology needs are arranged appropriately. In
collaboration with the Parish Manager, the Coordinator ensures
HVAC, seating, setup, and cleanup requirements are scheduled and
completed efficiently. The position also communicates timely
facility and scheduling updates to ministry leaders and volunteers
and ensures all activities comply with diocesan safety,
accessibility, and facility usage policies. 2. Safe Environment
Coordination To ensure that the parish maintains full compliance
with diocesan Safe Environment policies and procedures, this
position will foster a secure and welcoming environment for all
parishioners. This role oversees the training and certification of
staff and volunteers, instructs all to have background check, and
maintains accurate personnel files and training documentation. This
position will schedule and facilitates Safe Environment workshops
and educational sessions as needed, monitors ongoing compliance,
and prepares required reports and documentation for the Diocese of
Phoenix. 3. Adoration Coordination This position will oversee and
sustain the parish’s Eucharistic Adoration program by managing
volunteer scheduling and ensuring consistent coverage for all
Adoration hours. This role supports the Hourly Captains in
effectively utilizing the We Adore Him system and provides training
to leaders so they can confidently guide adorers in scheduling
procedures and program expectations. In addition, this position
will work with Hourly Captains to actively recruit and maintain a
strong base of committed adorers. 4. Communications This position
is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive
communications strategy that supports the parish’s mission and
fosters engagement within the parish community. This role ensures
clear, consistent, and timely communication across all platforms,
promoting parish life, ministries, and events while upholding
Catholic values. Duties & responsibilities include: · Promote
parish-wide events through the weekly parish bulletin. · Works with
Pastoral Staff to coordinates Quarterly Ministry Leaders Mixers. ·
Create, edit, and distribute the parish’s weekly online
“Connections” newsletter via Flocknote. · Maintain and update
outdoor communication kiosks with current information and upcoming
events. · Collaborate with ministry leaders to promote individual
ministry programs, initiatives, and special events. · As needed
design and produce promotional materials, including flyers,
graphics, banners, and digital content. · Manage and update parish
website content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness. ·
Oversee parish social media platforms, including content creation,
scheduling, and engagement. · Coordinate with the Pastor Mass
announcements as needed. · Proofread and edit all communications to
ensure professionalism, clarity, and fidelity to Catholic teaching.
· Manage relationships with printers, publishers, and communication
vendors. · Support urgent or crisis communications when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications · Is a Catholic in good standing, loves
Jesus and His Roman Catholic Church · Understanding of Catholic
teaching · Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational
skills · Compassion, sensitivity, and ability to provide emotional
support · Proficient in adapting to and effectively working across
multiple software systems. · Experience coordinating volunteers or
ministry programs preferred · Ability to work collaboratively with
clergy, staff, and ministry leaders · Physical & Environmental
Requirements · Ability to attend and support events during daytime,
evenings, or weekends as needed · Able to start employment June 1,
2026
