Engineer Reports: Project Manager Status: Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The
Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for facilitating project
activities in support of the Project Manager (PM). The PE will
assist in processes that ensure all safety, quality, architectural,
engineering and scheduling requirements are achieved, monitored,
documented, and reported. This role combines technical skills,
critical thinking and project coordination to ensure that projects
are completed on time, within budget, and to the quality standards
of Caliente Construction, Inc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages project documentation, including but not
limited to, meeting minutes, procurement logs, drawings,
specifications, Supplemental drawing mark-ups, as-built drawings,
and closeout requirements using Procore Assembles, reviews, and
processes all submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs, ensuring
compliance with contract specifications and in accordance with
individual project needs Maintains a complete and current set of
drawings reflecting all changes from the base contract
specifications, including change order requests, addenda, fieldwork
orders, ASIs, correspondence, and field conditions using Procore
Participates in the bid process and assists the Project Manager
(PM) with the preparation of the construction budget by reviewing
bid documents and subcontractor quotes to facilitate the project
buyout process; inputs initial project budget into Procore in a
timely manner Acquires thorough knowledge of the contract
documents, plans, specifications, and subcontracts Reads,
understands, and demonstrates an understanding of the Prime
Contract applicable to each project Drafts scope of work (SOW) for
subcontracts, work orders, and purchase orders for review by the
PM. Processes documents for signature and execution through Procore
and DocuSign Attends weekly project meetings and hosts these
meetings, as necessary, including coordinating agendas, preparing
meeting minutes, and following up on action items Works with the
project management team and superintendents to develop the
construction schedule; assists with the management of the project
schedule through establishment and tracking of the project
procurement log Implements job start-up and closeout procedures as
directed by the PM Assists with the planning and monitoring of the
quality control program as outlined in Calientes Quality Assurance
Manual Aides in the development and processing of subcontract and
owner change orders (OCO) Assists with the completion of monthly
project reporting requirements, including WIP updates Collaborates
with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost
estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required
to complete the project Assists with maintaining and enhancing
Caliente Constructions assets and maximizing revenue and
profitability goals Assures Risk Management measures are
incorporated and implemented Reads, understands, and demonstrates
an understanding of the Prime Contract applicable to the project
and assists in the management of the conditions, including the
applicable Subcontractor Agreement and Master General Conditions
Assists in the management of the project schedule and ensures
sufficient support and resources are provided by all subcontractors
as required to meet or exceed the schedule Ensures that all project
delays are well documented and that project stakeholders are
provided with frequent, regularly scheduled written documentation
in a timely manner Aides in the development, distribution,
communication, and transmittal of the Schedule Recovery Plan to
supervisors, including cost impact projections to affected
subcontractors or project stakeholders Develops or assists in the
development of all contractual claims to the Owner Clearly and
consistently communicates with all project team members,
subcontractors, and project stakeholders Assists in the Enforcement
of the Subcontract Agreement and notifies subcontractors of all
performance, safety, or quality deficiencies in writing Assists
with and ensures timely issuance of the initial project budgets to
accounting and ensures budget management activities are provided to
project stakeholders as required Aides in the completion of monthly
project reporting requirements, including but not limited to, MSR
Reports, WIP updates and others, as required Ensures that all
pending OCOs, SCOs or other financial items that have ability to
impact current monthly project financial projections are closed
promptly Follows up on all payments outstanding for more than 30
days Other duties, as assigned FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform

degree in Construction Management or related field Minimum of two
(2) years of relevant work experience Intermediate knowledge of
software applications (MS Office/Procore/Bluebeam/Vista, others)
Basic understanding of construction terminology and documents with
the ability to read and understand construction drawings and
specifications Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance all
project stakeholder relationships with the Company Excellent
written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational
skills, detail oriented, efficient, and reliable Team player with
the ability to recognize how individual actions affect the team as
a whole Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible and
adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule ADDITIONAL
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work 40 hours per week or more as may be
required Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted May
require repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers May require
prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing throughout workday
Willing to travel to various job site and/or employee recruitment
and work locations Valid driver license and proof of insurability
as required by the company when job duties require use of motor
vehicle Requires exercising of discretion in decision making
process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to
applicant, employee, and company proprietary related information
