    POSITION SUMMARY
    Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing all of the administrative and business operations aspects of integrated care clinic sites within Polara Health as well as support the integration Polara Health has with external partners in offering bi-directional health care in primary physical health settings. Their duties include hiring employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing the budget of the clinics. Practice Manager performs many leadership, organization and decision-making tasks to maintain and grow the medical practice they work for. Their duties and responsibilities include:
    • Supervise and oversee the overall staff performance including front office/back office, physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other related staff positions.
    • Screen and interview candidates for job openings
    • Provide training and educational material for staff
    • Ensure legal obligations are met at all times
    • Proactively evaluate and improve client experience
    • Able to identify, implement, evaluate and sustain rapid change management
    • Review, update, maintain and where helpful innovate existing policies, procedures, and workflows to support population health and staff success.
      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


      • Proven experience working in a managerial position in a clinical or medical setting
      • Strong understanding of healthcare administration and management
      • Familiar with administrative software for healthcare systems
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong leadership and organizational skills
      • Effective interpersonal communication skills including conflict resolution
      • Excellent customer service with a client focus
      • Able to travel to meetings and to attend conferences as necessary
      • May require working evenings and/or weekends when "on call."

        CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

        Education and Experience
        • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), health care administration, public health or health information management
        • Four Years related experience including but not limited to Nursing, Office Manager, Medical Biller or another administrative role within the health care sector. Other candidates may have previous experience as a Practice Manager or another medical office leadership role. Candidates with primarily nursing background must also include some level of leadership in their prior experience.

          • Consistent work attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours (excludes approved FMLA absences)
          • Responsible for complying with Polara Health's Corporate Compliance Program as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the company
          • Must comply with all Polara Health policies and procedures
          • Exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents
          • Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
          • Must have reliable transportation to oversee programming and/or attend trainings and/or meetings

                PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
                The nature of work may generate considerable physical (transporting, moving, assisting clients, etc.), mental and visual demands.                 • Office environment, travel within the community, as needed

                • Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and also the ability to sit for prolonged periods throughout work hours
                • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 25 or more pounds
                • Must be able to respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situations by using good judgment and following Polara Health protocols

                  Work Hazard Category
                  Category II - Tasks that may involve exposure or potential exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. Appropriate protective equipment will be readily available to every employee engaged in Category II tasks.
