POSITION TITLE: Director of Nursing
DEPARTMENT: Inpatient Nursing; Subacute0, Primary Care & Outpatient
POSITION REPORTS TO: Chief Clinical Officer
GENERAL SUMMARY: In two to four sentences, state the major purpose,
objective or function of this position.
The Director of Nursing (DON) sets the vision for Nursing Care at
Polara Health and leads to ensure nursing services across the
agency meet our values, standards and excellence in care. The DON
works in collaboration with the Medical Director and other Clinical
Directors to integrate care across outpatient, inpatient, subacute,
crisis, intensive outpatient, community based and primary care. The
DON tracks revenue and expense functions, data and trend reports,
key performance indicators and uses the information from all three
to strategically plan and implement best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Briefly describe the work

1. Provides clinical and administrative supervision of assigned
Nursing Managers and supports other clinical and medical leaders
and staff across the agency.
2. Provide fiscal oversight, data analysis, strategic planning and
program development of integrated care services across the agency
as pertinent to health and nursing services.

Directly supervises Outpatient Nursing Lead and Inpatient RN
