Responsibilities
This is a new Mentoring role and we are looking for 3 years of Med/Surg pediatric experience. At least 1 year experience mentoring new grad RNs to pediatrics to help us cross train. Role will involve 12 weeks of mentoring new hire RNs to pediatric nursing. We are offering a $2750 monthly housing stipend to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

• Provides assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care for patients from adolescent to geriatric.
• Handles patients with more complex situations with assistance and supervision.
• Assists with managing patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff.
• Assumes responsibilities of Primary Nurse and Team Leader.
  Qualifications
  Minimum:
  • Two years current acute care experience.
  • Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider.
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position
  • Critical care competency exam passing grade or successful completion of assigned online AACN Critical Care curriculum within one year. RNs with less than 6 months critical care experience will be assigned the relevant online AACN Critical Care curriculum to complete within one year of hire unless they can demonstrate previous successful completion of AACN Critical Care curriculum. Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
      Pay Range
      $59.16 - $59.16 /hour
