Job Description Goodyear, Arizona | Abrazo West Campus Are you an experienced Hospitalist seeking a dynamic leadership role in a collaborative, high-acuity environment? Med-Cure Internal Medicine, a thriving private practice in Goodyear, AZ, is seeking a Lead Internal Medicine Hospitalist to lead and mentor a diverse team of 15–18 providers at Abrazo West Campus, a Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 specialty and intensivist support. Position Highlights - Private Practice Model – Not hospital-employed - Competitive Base Salary: $260,000 for 16 shifts/month - Exceptional Earning Potential: Expected $350K–$400K annually - Up to 80% of Collections - Monthly Leadership Stipend Quality Bonus (up to $20K) - $26K Teaching Incentive Available - Full Benefits CME ($3,000), Med Mal, and Retirement Plan (after 1 year) - Teaching Internal Medicine Residents – Option to become Core Faculty - Access to Full Specialty and Critical Care Support 24/7 Role & Responsibilities As Lead Hospitalist, you will: - Oversee hospitalist team performance and schedules - Facilitate internal and administrative meetings - Manage quality metrics, credentialing, utilization, and peer review - Lead onboarding, recruitment, and teaching initiatives - Act as liaison between hospital administration and the hospitalist group - Serve on the Medical Executive Committee (MEC) - Spearhead community outreach and hospital-related marketing Your Team - 20 Physicians APPs - Team includes Teaching Hospitalists, Daytime Hospitalists, Nocturnists, and NPs - Full 24/7 in-house coverage (you’ll work 16 day shifts/month – 7 AM to 7 PM) - Separate nocturnist coverage – no night shifts required - ICU is open and staffed 24/7 by Intensivists (no procedures required) Ideal Candidate - MD or DO, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine - Must have recent hospitalist leadership experience (2023 grad or earlier) - Comfortable managing high volume (avg 22 non-teaching / 20 teaching patients per shift) - Collaborative, organized, and confident in leading teams in a fast-paced setting - Bonus if you have subspecialty training (e.g., Nephrology, Pulmonary, ID, or Critical Care) Practice & Hospital Overview - Med-Cure Internal Medicine – Private, for-profit multispecialty group - 220-bed facility at Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, AZ - Level I Trauma Center - Advanced specialty support including: Cardiology, GI, Ortho, Neuro, General & Trauma Surgery, Urology, Anesthesia, Plastics, Colorectal, and more - Cerner EMR - Academic affiliation with teaching opportunities (non-faculty role initially) - Committee opportunities in MEC, Quality, Peer Review, and more Location Goodyear, Arizona – A vibrant and growing Phoenix suburb with excellent schools, outdoor recreation, and access to arts, culture, and major league sports.
