Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/10/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with flexibility to float to MS/Tele units, AZ or compact RN license required for night shifts. Responsibilities Work in a short-term acute care hospital within the ICU and MS/Tele units Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU and 1:4 or 1:5 in MS/Tele Will float between ICU, MS/Tele, and other units as needed Night shifts available with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Every other weekend is required No on-call responsibilities EMR: Cerner; Cerner experience preferred Liko lifts are available in almost all patient rooms Navy blue scrubs required Free parking provided Position is part of a flex pool and requires comfort with floating between units and to affiliate hospitals based on unit needs Teaching hospital and Level IV trauma environment First-time travelers are accepted Approval from the unit manager is needed for RTO; up to 5 days of RTO auto-approved if not during holidays Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment due to orientation Return travelers must not have cancelled within 10 days of a previous start and must wait 12 months if previously employed by the health system Modules and training will be completed during the first week of orientation Requirements Active, unrestricted AZ or compact RN license is required; pending license will be considered Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of RN experience Experience in ICU, PCU, or strong MS/Tele background required Ability to float to multiple units as needed Two professional references required, one from most recent employer within one year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624602.
