to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85013! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience EVD
experience Description: Candidates must have strong neuro
assessment skills and experience in ICP monitoring. The position
involves caring for critically ill patients with neuro diagnoses.
Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering
medication, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Candidates will be expected to float between all ICU floors and
tele units. A patient load of 4:1 is expected on tele. Daily duties
may include performing procedures like Foley catheter insertion and
central line dressing changes. All staff must maintain sterile
fields during procedures. There is a pass/fail exam on the first
day of orientation, and candidates should be well-versed in sterile
techniques. Additional education will cover lifts, restraints, and
wound care, as policies and equipment may differ between
facilities. Candidates must possess experience in a large Level 1
trauma center. Travel experience of 3-6 months is preferred. Shifts
are scheduled for 12 hours, and holidays are based on unit
coverage. The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing
cancellation of shifts during the assignment period. Familiarity
with charting systems is required. Scrub color is flexible, but
specific colors may be designated for certain areas. Weekends will
be part of the shift rotation. Flexibility to work into the core
staff rotation is necessary. Emergency and pharmacy services are
available 24/7. Additional requirements include strong teamwork
skills and adaptability to various patient care settings. 5
