people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient
assessments and develop timely plans of care for pediatric patients
Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care
accurately Provide skilled pediatric trauma and post-resuscitation
care in high-acuity situations Work independently to complete
assignments while following physician orders and hospital policies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians,
surgeons and specialty providers Support patients and families of
all ages with culturally sensitive education and care Maintain
compliance with JCAHO standards, hospital policies and nursing
procedures Participate in unit-level quality and safety initiatives
to improve patient outcomes Qualifications Current, full and
unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto
Rico (Arizona-specific license not required) Associate’s or
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Current BLS, ACLS and PALS from the
American Heart Association (must be maintained throughout
employment) Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation
(P-CAR) within 6 months of hire Complete NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
within 6 months of hire Experience in pediatric acute care,
emergency or inpatient pediatric settings preferred Ability to work
independently and manage a diverse caseload Education Associate's
or Bachelor's degree in Nursing Knowledge & Skills Strong pediatric
assessment and monitoring skills Proficiency in medication
administration and pediatric dosing considerations Familiarity with
clinical nursing procedures across inpatient/outpatient/emergency
services Experience working with diverse cultural populations and
community-focused care Understanding of hospital policies,
standards of care and JCAHO requirements Comfort in high-acuity and
trauma situations, including post-resuscitation care Excellent
communication, documentation and teamwork skills Benefits Limited
