Sonora Quest Laboratories, a distinguished leader in diagnostic testing in Arizona, is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to enhance our clinical team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, maintaining the integrity of specimens, and ensuring the comfort of patients during the procedure. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a high level of precision, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Perform blood collection procedures using standard techniques and equipment. Ensure accurate labeling and handling of specimens. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff. Verify patient identification and confirm testing requests from healthcare providers. Provide clear instructions to patients and manage any adverse reactions to phlebotomy procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines. Participate in quality control checks to ensure equipment is operating properly. Proficient in various types of blood collection techniques, including venipuncture and capillary collection. Knowledge of safety and infection control standards. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification is highly desired. Active participation in ongoing job-related training and education.
