Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is
working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in
Phoenix, Arizona, 85001! ID: 76588321 Shift: 12H Nights 12hr
nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit
coverage Description: Unit Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical
recommends, sends to manager for approval to offer, no 2nd
interview50 mile radius rule - no local rates - source of truth is
DL, please include in submissionMUST HAVE LEVEL I TRAUMA
EXPERIENCEmust pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler
has 2 attempts. if failed, RN will be DNU within CS AZ and Sac
Region for 6 months*Travel Teams must have their own vehicles*must
have natural hair color and no facial piercings*men must clean
shave for fit test*pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation - details
to followDAY 1 PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to
complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line
dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has
to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion
but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing
change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus
&/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. NOTE - SIMs lab is pass/fail &
nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field.
Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs
Lab skills (See separate notes for the specific checklist IF
traveler asks for additional details). The hospital expects that
every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining
sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed
frequently. NOTE: if a candidate indicates that they are not
competent in either of these areas, they are probably not a good
fit. In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts,
restraints, & wound care, but these are just educational based
since the equipment & policies can be different facility to
facility. - Unit: CTICU/CVICU- beds: 24- Certs: BLS, ACLS. CCRN
preferred. ICU experience only, CVICU preferred.- Ratios: 1:1-2.
High number of 1:1.- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient
assignment.- Nurse Aides: 2 PCTs days and nights with high census.-
Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in 4 week schedule.-
Holidays: Work into rotation.- Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: Phillips-
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Intensivist on during days and
on call at night.- IV Team: No, strong IV skills required.- RT
24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, utilize Transplant patients-
Shifts: 7-7. - Float to other ICUs and all Tele units. patient
ratio of 4:1 on tele. Travelers will float 1st before perm staff.
Also required to float to Westgate if asked.- Floor specific
orientation: 2 days on the floor.- Common diagnosis / Types of
patients: Cardiac surgery recovery, Empallas, IABP, CRRT, lung
transplant, thoracic, Ecmo, esophogectomy, lobectomy, pneumectomy,
TAVR.- Additional Notes: Very high acuity, travelers with IABP and
CABG experience can take patients. High number of bedside
procedures, bronchs, Swans, epidurals. Cancellation can cancel up
to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that
are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to , willing to wait
Trauma Level:1 Care Shift nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4
weeks, holidays based on unit coverage Required , BLS Certification
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91 5 Benefits of
