SOAR Specialist Community Bridges, Inc. (CB I) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. Job Summary SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) is a model that helps individuals experiencing or at-risk for homelessness who have mental illness and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder or other medical impairments apply for Social Security disability benefits. The SSVF program uses this model to assist people with disabilities who would have difficulty applying independently for SSI/SSDI benefits. Skills/Requirement • High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree or higher in a field related to behavioral health preferred. • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working directly with individuals experiencing homelessness who have mentally illness and/or are dually diagnosed, required. • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse clinical techniques preferred. • Familiarity with federal and state public benefits programs and/or SOAR, preferred. • Knowledge of social service resources, preferred. • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures. • Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing). • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) within 12-months of employment. • Certified to complete the Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (SPDAT) required within 90 days of employment.
