Job Description:

CalPortland, a leader in the building materials industry since 1891, is actively seeking a Terminal Operator to join our efficient Transportation & Logistics team. The Terminal Operator will play a crucial role in managing the safe and effective flow of our bulk materials - including cement, aggregates, and asphalt - from our production sites to client destinations. This position is pivotal in maintaining the quality and integrity of materials during handling and transportation, supporting CalPortland's commitment to sustainable construction solutions. Operate and maintain all bulk handling, loading, and unloading systems to ensure seamless operations. Monitor product quality and manage cement, aggregates, and asphalt silos and associated equipment. Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of terminal machinery and vehicles as per operational and safety standards. Collaborate effectively with transportation teams and drivers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and regulatory compliance set by the company and the shipping and transportation industry. Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and equipment maintenance logs. Communicate promptly and effectively with the logistics department to ensure that customer satisfaction and efficient material flow are achieved. Strong operational and mechanical skills with the ability to operate heavy machinery. Proficiency in inventory management software and related systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform physical duties in varying weather conditions.
