The Security Officer supports the vision of the Total Healing
Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability,
commitment and quality assuring a safe and secure environment for
patient, visitors and staff and protecting hospital assets.
- High School graduate or GED
- Security, military or public safety experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess and maintain a valid AZ driver's license
- Must successfully complete self-defense tactics and TASER
training within 90 days of hire date; must prepare for, take and
pass the IAHSS exam within 18 months of hire date
- Must be current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for
Healthcare Provider certified
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively
communicate verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people,
including patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
providing excellent customer service
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft
- Previous healthcare security experience strongly preferred
